microTERA is an additive waveshaping synthesizer available for Windows, Mac OS X, and iPad, offering a rich range of sound design possibilities. The desktop version features three oscillators with individual tuning and modulation options, 32-voice polyphony, portamento, and multiple LFOs with various waveform shapes. Its core additive shaper includes spectrum and noise parameters, complemented by effects such as distortion, delay, and modulation. Users can modulate amplitude and pan, apply LoFi effects, and choose from 128 presets, with an intelligent randomize function enhancing creativity.

The iPad version expands on these capabilities with a user-programmable wave shaper and spectral shaping, three sine oscillators, and feedback input for noise. Additional features on iPad include a sophisticated programmable arpeggiator with up to 32 steps, supporting notes and chords with detailed control over tie, accent, transposition, and note order. Unique randomizer functions generate usable arpeggios, and users can create unlimited custom patterns. The app supports Audiobus, Inter App Audio, virtual MIDI input, and file sharing via iTunes, enabling seamless integration with other music apps.
