Machin is a step-sequenced multi-effect plugin designed to bring randomness and creativity to your sound design. It uses a probability-based system where each step in the sequence determines the chance of a random effect being triggered. This innovative approach allows for dynamic and evolving textures that can add movement and complexity to any audio track.

The plugin offers six distinct effects including gate, crusher, filter, flanger, delay, and reverb. Each effect’s activation is controlled by weighted probabilities, meaning you can influence which effects are more likely to appear during playback. The step sequencer supports between 2 and 32 steps over customizable beat cycles, with options for seeded randomization and loop repeats that span up to 100 beats, providing extensive creative control over rhythmic variations.

Additional features include swing control for groove adjustment, attack and decay settings on effect triggering, and pulse length control to define how long each effect lasts. Effects can be individually disabled to optimize CPU usage, and a master wet/dry mix lets you blend the processed signal with the original sound. All parameters support MIDI learn, enabling hands-on control and seamless integration into your workflow.
