The Latency Bundle is designed specifically for Logic Pro to measure and compensate for audio latency. It includes two essential tools: the Latency Detector and the Latency Compensator. These tools work together to identify and correct timing delays caused by audio processing, ensuring that tracks remain perfectly synchronized during production.

Latency occurs because most plugins introduce a processing delay before passing audio signals, which can disrupt timing in a project. While Logic Pro has built-in mechanisms to offset latency, these do not apply when routing signals through external audio hardware using the I/O Plug-In. This creates uncompensated delays that can affect overall mix coherence.

The Latency Detector measures the exact delay introduced when audio leaves the sequencer and returns through external hardware. Once this latency is determined, the Latency Compensator applies precise adjustments to offset the delay, restoring perfect synchronization across all tracks.
