IR-Lab is a dynamic plugin designed for use with most Digital Audio Workstations on both Windows and Mac OS X platforms. Compatible with VST, AU, and AAX formats, it integrates seamlessly into your preferred host environment. As a real-time effect, IR-Lab is suitable for live performances as well as studio mixing, providing flexibility for various production settings.

Unlike traditional convolution plugins, IR-Lab uses a unique approach by tuning a physical model of a cabinet based on your loaded Impulse Responses (IR). This method enhances the tonal characteristics beyond simple linear convolution. Additionally, IR-Lab supports custom XIR files, which are extended Impulse Responses containing detailed non-linear information about the cabinet, resulting in more authentic and musically pleasing sound reproduction.

The plugin offers innovative features such as Dynamic and Movement modes. The Dynamic mode adapts the cabinet model's response based on input level, adding expressive realism. Movement mode introduces rotation and swinging effects for creating Leslie-style sounds or experimental spatial textures. Users can export their processed audio as Impulse Responses, presets, or XIR files, and are provided with tools and guidance to create custom XIR models by measuring cabinets in professional environments.
