It offers three distinct distortion models—one diode and two tube types—that allow you to shape your sound from subtle warmth to intense distortion. Whether you want to add smooth tube saturation to drums and vocals, gritty distortion to bass, or create expressive auto-wah effects on guitar, Hyperdrive delivers a broad sonic palette. The plugin features adjustable drive, bias, input and output gain controls, as well as a wet/dry mix to fine-tune your desired tone.

At the heart of Hyperdrive's interface are three versatile filters: high pass, low pass, and peak filter, each equipped with adjustable frequency and resonance settings. The peak filter also includes gain control for precise frequency boosting or cutting. You can choose to place these filters either before or after the distortion stage, offering flexible signal shaping options. This advanced filtering section enables detailed tonal sculpting, making it suitable for a range of instruments and styles.

The plugin also incorporates an envelope follower and an LFO for dynamic modulation capabilities that bring your sound to life. The envelope follower features adjustable attack, release, and sensitivity, while the LFO offers multiple wave shapes and can be synced to the host tempo or run freely, with its speed modulated by the envelope follower. Both modulation sources can control filter frequencies, peak gain, and distortion drive, adding expressive movement to your effects. Additional features include undo/redo, A/B comparison, and 20 presets to inspire creativity.
