HoRNet Angle is a tone shaping plugin designed around the concept of a tilt equalizer, a specialized tool that adjusts the tonal balance of audio tracks. Unlike traditional equalizers, it does not offer frequency or Q control but instead affects the spectrum by increasing or decreasing high and low frequencies around a fixed pivot point at 650Hz. Turning the Angle knob adjusts the high and low ends inversely, allowing subtle and smooth tonal modifications that help achieve a balanced mix with minimal effort.
In addition to its core tilt EQ functionality, HoRNet Angle includes input and output auto-gain controls based on a 0VU reference, maintaining consistent levels while adjusting the tonal balance. The plugin also features an analog emulation mode derived from HoRNet's AnalogStage plugin, which adds harmonic content and thickness to the sound, enriching the audio character. These features combine to deliver a user-friendly experience that enhances tonal shaping without introducing unwanted artifacts.
HoRNet Angle ensures high sound quality through an auto-oversampling feature that dynamically minimizes aliasing across different sampling rates. It supports multiple plugin formats including Audio Units, VST2.4, VST3, and AAX, with compatibility for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems on Mac OS X and Windows platforms. The plugin also includes peak meters and a bypass button, providing essential controls for effective tonal adjustments within any digital audio workstation.
