HG Electric Sitar recreates the unique sound of the Jerry Jones Electric Sitar, a modern instrument inspired by the iconic '60s Dan Electro used by legendary bands such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. It offers seven distinct sample sets, each spanning over four octaves with individual samples for every note. Users can layer two sample sets simultaneously, providing ample scope to craft rich and captivating sitar sounds and textures that evoke both traditional and contemporary atmospheres.

Built on the foundation of HG Piano, this plugin includes SoundScaper, an effect designed to generate comb filtering, delays, and reverbs that enhance experimental sound environments. Additional effects include a flanger that can be switched with a filter, plus a delay unit. These effects can be arranged in three different routing configurations, allowing creators to shape their sound with great flexibility. The combination of these effects supports detailed sound design, from subtle modulation to immersive ambient layers.

The plugin also features a comprehensive Scala-based microtuner supporting a wide range of tuning scales, complemented by a library of 300 standard patches and access to over 3,500 additional patches available from the Scala community. A full-featured arpeggiator and an internal recorder capable of capturing WAV files up to 32-bit resolution are included, facilitating seamless workflow integration.
