Gator is a dynamic gating effect plugin that uses a tempo-synced, probability-based step sequencer to create rhythmic volume modulation. It triggers volume changes between two adjustable levels, enabling intricate and evolving patterns. Users can adjust the sequence length from 2 to 32 beats with up to 32 steps, each step having a customizable chance of activation. The sequencer can be programmed or set to random mode with seeded randomization, allowing for consistent loops up to 100 beats long.

The plugin also features a tempo-synced LFO with six waveform options, providing additional modulation possibilities to the gated volume. This LFO can be set to cycle from 1/16th of a beat to 96 beats, adding depth and movement to the sound. Parameters such as pulse length, attack, and release can be finely adjusted to shape the gating effect. Additionally, a random swing control introduces natural groove variations, enhancing the rhythmic feel.

Gator includes a wet/dry mix control for balancing the effect with the original signal and supports MIDI CC with MIDI learn functionality for seamless integration into any setup. This makes it suitable for a wide range of music styles, from electronic to experimental, providing creative gating and modulation tools that bring life and complexity to your productions.
