Gain is a straightforward audio tool designed to adjust the volume of your sound effortlessly. It allows you to increase or decrease the gain in decibels, ensuring your audio levels are balanced whether the sound is too loud or too quiet. The VU meter provides a clear visual of the output levels for both left and right channels, helping you monitor your adjustments precisely.

The plugin includes a settings panel accessible by a small arrow, where you can manage presets to tailor your workflow. An enabled checkbox lets you easily bypass the effect when needed, and a resize handle on the bottom right corner allows you to scale the interface for better control visibility, which is especially useful for live performances on touchscreen monitors. However, resizing is not available when used inside a snapin host.

While Gain functions effectively on its own, it was primarily designed to enhance the larger Snapin Hosts offered by Kilohearts, such as Snap Heap and Multipass. These hosts combine multiple snapins, enabling creative and flexible signal processing. Gain is also available as a Rack Extension for Reason, expanding its usability within different music production environments.
