Fundamental3 introduces an innovative built-in stochastic sequencer that drives all its oscillators with sample-accurate sequencer events. This sequencer uses probabilistic functions to determine the onset times and durations of events, distributing them dynamically across the sequence timeline. By leveraging randomness within defined parameters, it delivers evolving rhythmic and melodic patterns that bring a fresh dimension to sound design and composition.
Each oscillator in Fundamental3 now features a clone that shares its parameters but operates with independent modulation sources. This means pitch, gain, and panning modulations can differ between the original oscillator and its clone, producing rich and complex sonic textures. Alongside this, the sequencer offers a variety of probabilistic functions to shape event timing and length, while also allowing direct editing for precise control. The sequence length itself is adjustable through these probabilistic methods, providing both randomness and determinism in event distribution.
Fundamental3 includes a dedicated secondary envelope system for sequence events that works independently from the oscillator gain envelopes, enabling intricate dynamic shaping. The sequencer supports forward and forward-backward loop playback modes and synchronizes with BPM, ensuring tight integration within any project. Additionally, the current distribution of sequencer events can be frozen and saved within presets, preserving unique generative states for future use. This combination of features makes Fundamental3 a powerful tool for creating evolving, dynamic sounds.
