Echobox D7 recreates the distinctive echo mode of a rare Japanese stomp-box, itself a digital interpretation of a renowned American tape echo unit. This effect plugin captures the character and warmth of vintage tape delay, delivering a rich and immersive echo experience. It offers a broad delay time range from 30 milliseconds up to 2600 milliseconds, allowing for both subtle ambience and expansive soundscapes.
The plugin features comprehensive control over delay parameters, including adjustable feedback that can reach self-oscillation, separate wet and dry level controls, and flexible panning for the delayed signal in stereo setups. Users can also smoothly cross-fade feedback in stereo, choose between three delay time ranges, and select between different delay time control modes to suit either a clean or textured, 'dusty' sound.
Additional functionalities include manual BPM synchronization, two ping-pong delay modes, and a true bypass mode that instantly clears echoes from the buffer. For stereo tracks, Echobox D7 offers the option to switch the output to dual mono, enhancing mix flexibility. These features make it a powerful tool for adding authentic vintage echo effects to modern productions.
