DR1 is a synthesizer developed by UK electro and techno producer Vector Lovers in Berlin, designed to deliver a rich and powerful sound with a straightforward approach. The interface emphasizes simplicity and ease of use, featuring an uncluttered layout that allows quick access to essential controls. Its dual low- and high-pass filter pads, combined with resonant oscillator phasing, create thick electro bass tones and dynamic synth leads.

Drawing inspiration from vintage analogue hardware such as Moog, Octave, and Polivoks, DR1 offers a unique classic sound without directly emulating any specific instrument. Its character has been tested and refined through live performances in notable venues like Arena Berlin and The Loft in Barcelona, as well as on releases from respected labels including Soma Records and DS93, showcasing its capability in professional club settings.

The synth features two oscillators with sub-oscillators and supports four-note polyphony for rich chordal textures. The low- and high-pass filters are controlled via X-Y pads, enabling simultaneous adjustment of cutoff frequency and resonance for expressive sound shaping. DR1 comes with 64 presets crafted by Vector Lovers, providing a diverse palette of sounds suitable for electro and techno productions.
