The distortion engine in Disseptor features two asymmetric soft clipping algorithms, designed to provide warm and rich harmonic content through the generation of even harmonics. This asymmetry enhances the sound’s warmth while a built-in DC blocker ensures any DC offset caused by the distortion is removed, maintaining signal integrity. Additionally, the plugin incorporates 16x linear phase oversampling, effectively minimizing aliasing artifacts and preserving audio quality during processing.
