DF-COMP is a compressor plugin designed specifically for drum mixing, offering a selection of classic compressor models tailored to enhance drum tracks. It provides users with specialized processing options that bring out the best characteristics of individual drum elements, making it a valuable tool for shaping dynamic and impactful drum sounds in any mix.

The plugin includes six dedicated drum modes: Kick, Snare, Toms, Overheads (OHs), Rooms, and Bus. Each mode is paired with three compression intensity settings—soft, medium, and hard—that adjust parameters like attack, release, ratio, and compressor type to suit the chosen drum element. This setup allows for precise control over the compression behavior, from gentle smoothing to aggressive dynamic shaping, ensuring that every drum part can be treated appropriately.

DF-COMP features three main controls that govern how compression is applied. The comp knob adjusts the amount of compression applied beyond the threshold, the threshold control sets the level at which compression activates, and the mix knob blends the original dry signal with the compressed output. These intuitive controls enable seamless adjustment of the compression effect, allowing users to fine-tune the balance between transparency and punch in their drum mixes.
