Designed through a collaboration between Defective Records Software and Mutable Instruments, this plugin offers a unique interface for intricate melodic and rhythmic patterns. Each subsequence operates independently, allowing for complex layering and dynamic interplay within a single project.

This step sequencer supports hosting up to three VST instrument plugins simultaneously and integrates ReWire audio sources, expanding its creative potential. Users benefit from detailed control per step, including velocity, gate, and two continuous controller values (CC1 and CC2). Each subsequence can output MIDI or plugin signals independently, with options to override note, velocity, and gate settings, giving precise command over performance nuances.

CycliC also features extensive customization and randomization capabilities, such as global transpose, start point shifting, and parameter randomization constrained within user-defined ranges. It supports internal and MIDI clock synchronization, includes a library of 20 presets accessible by mouse or MIDI program change, and allows saving configurations to disk. The interface is adjustable in size, ensuring a comfortable workflow tailored to individual preferences.
