Crunchrr is an easy-to-use audio effect designed to introduce digital artifacts into your sounds. By modulating a fractional delay line at high audio frequencies, it produces effects reminiscent of bit crushing, sample rate reduction, and digital erosion. Whether you want to add subtle texture or completely transform your audio into a noisy, glitchy soundscape, Crunchrr offers a straightforward solution.
The plugin provides a selection of modulator waveforms, including noise, bandpassed noise, sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth, with frequency control ranging from very slow to ultra-high rates. This flexibility allows you to shape the character of the digital artifacts precisely. Additionally, Crunchrr supports stereo width manipulation by offsetting modulators’ phases between left and right channels, or by using a mono modulation for a more centered effect.
Designed with simplicity in mind, Crunchrr features just five parameters, making it highly intuitive without sacrificing creative potential. Its minimalistic interface includes a digital visualizer, easy navigation, and support for dark and light themes, all within a resizable window. Optimized for low CPU usage, this effect can be easily integrated into any production workflow without demanding system resources.
