Cosmosƒ M31 is a dynamic MIDI event generator designed to operate across multiple time scales and MIDI channels. It employs sonicLAB's proprietary Cosmosƒ model to distribute note onsets and durations on both meso and micro levels, creating intricate rhythmic patterns. Alongside these events, it runs advanced stochastic LFOs to produce multiple continuous MIDI controller messages, making it an excellent tool for enhancing MPE synthesizers, instrument plugins, and any device that accepts MIDI input.

The system allows seamless transitions between serial note patterns and stochastic pitch distributions, which can be adapted to various musical scales. Users can control the balance between structured sequences and random variations, enabling evolving musical textures. Additionally, Cosmosƒ M31 integrates the Object Engine from Cosmosƒ Saturn, allowing performers to record gestures on interface elements as sequences and create performance loops that complement each preset, adding an expressive layer to live or studio productions.

Included with Cosmosƒ M31 is MBot, a client plugin that utilizes sonicLAB's BOT distributed plugin technology. Multiple MBots can run on different DAW tracks while maintaining synchronization with the M31’s parameters, though each may generate unique results due to stochastic processing. Both Cosmosƒ M31 and MBot are available in VST2 and AU formats for macOS and Windows, ensuring broad compatibility across production environments.
