Unlike traditional comb filter effects, CombOver provides intuitive control and programmability without the risk of uncontrollable feedback. It enables the creation of unique soundscapes, from shimmering and electric tones to glitchy and dynamic textures, making it a powerful tool for creative sound design.

The plugin features five comb filters with delay times influenced by pitch detection, allowing for harmonic synchronization with the input audio. Users can manipulate a bank of sliders to select harmonic overtones which modulate the delay times, while a step sequencer adds rhythmic complexity to the modulation. An X/Y vector pad offers seamless blending between four different harmonic-modulated delay settings, providing extensive control over the sonic character and movement of the effect.

Additional controls include tempo-synced beat divisions for precise rhythmic modulation and a stereo peak hold function that enhances pitch detection accuracy from stereo sources while smoothing modulation envelopes.
