Clipped-MAX is a dynamic clipping tool designed for a broad range of mixing and mastering tasks, offering flexibility from subtle enhancement to extreme distortion effects. It features four distinct clipping modules that can be rearranged to create diverse sonic textures. The plugin includes advanced oversampling options, supporting both minimal and linear phase modes up to 128x, ensuring high-quality processing with minimized aliasing.

The four core modules of Clipped-MAX—SHIFTER, STEREO, M-BAND, and MASTER—provide comprehensive control over clipping behavior. The SHIFTER module allows dynamic adjustment of the clipping threshold based on the input signal, offering responsive shaping. The STEREO module separates the signal into mid and side components, enabling independent clipping control before recombining into a stereo output. This approach provides precise stereo image manipulation during processing.

The M-BAND module divides the audio into multiple EQ bands, ranging from two to six, with individual clipping algorithms and settings for each band, allowing detailed frequency-specific clipping. The MASTER module offers eleven clipping algorithms, including an intersample peak detection feature for monitoring and preventing unwanted peaks. Additional features include a resizable interface with customizable colors, output metering with true peak and EBU standards, AutoGain control for accurate A/B comparison, and comprehensive metering tools such as VU, peak, RMS, FFT spectrum analyzer, stereo vectorscope, and mix control.
