This suite includes the CL-1, CLMS-1, and CLMS-1 XL, each designed to capture the unique character and warmth of vintage analog optoelectronic diode tube compressors. The series emphasizes delivering an authentic analog sound experience by replicating the qualities that made these early compressors highly sought after in music production.

To achieve a realistic analog sound, ArtsAcoustic conducted an in-depth study of numerous rare high-end compressors and limiters, including models like the 1176 Silverplate, dbx 160, and Valleypeople Dynamite. Instead of merely copying circuit layouts, the development process involved modeling critical components such as transistors, resistors, and capacitors to faithfully reproduce the sonic nuances and subtle artifacts that define classic analog compression. This meticulous approach results in algorithms that deliver rich tonal characteristics and dynamic control reminiscent of vintage hardware.

The CL Series offers a range of features including an optoelectronic diode circuit paired with a tube-driven gain stage for authentic tonal coloration. It supports comprehensive mid/side processing, true stereo external sidechaining, and precise control over signal filtering. With 64-bit internal precision, sample-accurate limiter clip mode, zero latency, and low CPU consumption, these processors provide reliable performance for modern production environments.
