ChowPhaser is an audio effect plugin inspired by the classic Schulte Compact Phasing 'A'. It is available in two versions: mono and stereo, allowing users to tailor the effect to different signal inputs. The mono version accepts a single-channel input and produces a stereo output by applying phasing effects, while the stereo version processes each channel independently for more complex spatial modulation.

The stereo version features linked controls for synchronized adjustments between left and right channels, activated by holding the SHIFT key. This design enables precise control over the phasing effect across both channels while maintaining flexibility to modify them separately if desired. Both versions provide intuitive control over the phaser’s core components, balancing ease of use with depth of sound shaping.

ChowPhaser’s sound shaping is divided into feedback and modulation stages, each controlled by dedicated parameters. The plugin uses a shared low-frequency oscillator (LFO) to drive these stages, with adjustable depth, frequency, and waveform skew to sculpt the modulation. Additional controls offer filter stage selection and nonlinear processing options that add character and intensity, giving users the ability to craft a wide range of phasing textures from subtle to aggressive.
