Users can adjust parameters such as Resonance, Frequency, and Boost independently for both filter types, allowing for precise shaping of the audio signal. The morphing functionality enables smooth transitions between LowPass and HighPass filtering, adding depth and complexity to the sound.

The device also features a MultiMode filter section offering six filter types, including different slopes and brickwall options, which can be positioned before, after, or summed with the main morphing filter. Additional tools such as channel swapping, phase inversion, and the CURVE transient shaper provide further manipulation of the incoming audio. The EQ-KILL function allows selective removal of low, mid, or high frequencies, enhancing the ability to sculpt the sound precisely.

CATALYST supports CV inputs for automation, enabling dynamic control over its core parameters and modulation options via a built-in LFO with multiple waveforms. The device also offers patch support, allowing users to save and recall custom settings for various applications.
