Boomed-Fm II is a hybrid synthesizer that combines FM and phase distortion synthesis to deliver a wide range of sounds, from clean tones to rich, distorted textures. It excels at producing various instrument types including strings, bass, keys, leads, and pads, making it suitable for multiple music styles. The design focuses on flexibility in sound creation with six combined oscillators, each featuring modulators and carriers to craft complex tones.

Each oscillator is paired with a low-pass 4-pole Moog-style filter that offers adjustable cutoff frequency for shaping the sound. Fine-tuning and phase modulation controls add an analog feel, enhancing the character of the output. The mixer section controls oscillator levels and output activation, while a master biquad filter provides three selectable modes—Constant Skirt Gain, Constant 0dB Peak Gain, and Peak—with adjustable gain and attenuation for detailed tonal shaping.

Additional effects include a delay module capable of creating stereo output with modes for soft distortion or clear stereo delay with adjustable speed and timing. A high-quality stereo chorus effect further thickens the sound. The MIDI section offers octave selection, mono mode with retrigger functionality, velocity sensitivity, and portamento time adjustments. Boomed-Fm II comes with 82 presets across two sound banks to jumpstart your sound design process.
