10k+ plugins and counting. It's free.

Blocks is a modular synthesizer designed for Windows, macOS, and Linux, available as a standalone application as well as VST3 and AU plugins. Its core interface centers on the block grid, where users can add various sound sources and effects to craft unique tones. Sound moves downward through the grid, allowing effects to shape the audio signals coming from the sound sources positioned above them.
To the right of the block grid is the modulators menu, where users can incorporate LFOs and envelopes to add dynamic movement and expression to their sounds. On the left side, the modulation matrix provides a clear overview of connections between modulators and blocks, enabling precise control over modulation routing and signal flow.
Above the block grid, tabs allow users to select which column of blocks is activated when a note is played, offering flexible performance options. This intuitive layout streamlines the process of building complex patches, making it easier to experiment with sound design and modulation within a modular environment.
