bLO-FIsh is a synthesizer that combines the charm of classic chip sounds with traditional analog synthesis elements. Featuring three oscillators, it offers a range of waveforms including sine, saw, ramp, triangle, square, and two pulse widths. The synth allows switching between standard high-quality audio and a low-fidelity mode, delivering authentic 8-bit and vintage video game textures. Its flexible output routing and hard sync feedback loop provide rich sonic possibilities.

The synth includes two parallel state-variable filters with multiple modes such as lowpass, highpass, bandpass, and band reject. These filters can be dynamically shaped using graphic ADSRs that control cutoff and resonance, enabling expressive sound design. Additional controls for pan and volume enhance spatial placement. The effects section features straightforward distortion and a versatile reverb with normal, gated, and freeze modes, adding depth and character to the sounds.

Modulation options are extensive, with tempo-synced LFOs offering numerous waveforms and modifiers, alongside free-tempo LFOs and graphic envelope generators. A 16-step tempo-synced gate can be mixed with all oscillators for rhythmic effects, and a six-slot modulation matrix supports a wide variety of modulation sources and targets. The phrase arpeggiator is designed for ease of use, with multiple modes and MIDI control across most parameters. It supports monophonic and eight-voice polyphonic play with glide and retrigger, making it suitable for diverse musical styles and workflows.
