Backplayer is an intuitive audio plugin designed to effortlessly reverse incoming audio in real time. It continuously samples the audio input and allows users to trigger reverse playback instantly by pressing a button. This functionality makes it easy to create unique sound effects and transitions within any musical context.

When activated, Backplayer plays back the most recent segment of audio in reverse for as long as the button remains pressed. Users can choose to blend the reversed audio with the original signal or isolate the reversed effect, offering creative flexibility in shaping the sound. This approach enables smooth integration of the reversed audio into ongoing mixes.

The plugin offers precise control over the length of the reversed audio segment, adjustable in measures up to eight bars in 4/4 time. All parameters, including reverse length and effect mix, can be automated or controlled via MIDI Continuous Controller messages. This makes Backplayer a powerful tool for dynamic and expressive audio manipulation in both studio and live settings.
