Atonoise is a unique VSTi synthesizer designed to create eerie, sci-fi, and other atmospheric sounds. Unlike traditional synthesizers, it deliberately omits a filter and avoids emphasizing the basic waveforms of its two oscillators, which instead serve to add subtle tonal variations. The instrument operates atonally, meaning it does not produce defined pitches, making it ideal for crafting spacey, noisy textures that stand apart from conventional melodic sounds.

The sound generation in Atonoise relies on four distinct modifiers that shape its signature character. Inferno introduces upper harmonics to the signal, enriching the texture with bright, complex overtones similar to certain harmonic effects found in other synths. Two Spook modifiers, Spook 1 and Spook 2, can be applied individually, in parallel, or in series, allowing a wide range of tonal density and metallic qualities. These modifiers are controlled through dedicated knobs and an XY pad, which adjusts the sonic density and character, further enhanced by versatile LFO modulation options.

Additionally, Spook 3 adds a reverb-like ambience that contributes to the overall spacious and haunting quality of the sound. This slider-based effect can be subtly blended to create an immersive atmosphere, perfect for sound design in cinematic and experimental music contexts.
