This experimental synthesizer blends wave table, subtractive, phase distortion, and physical modeling techniques to create unique sound textures. Designed to introduce humanization at the oscillator level, it simulates the natural variations found in real-world instruments by ensuring each note hit differs subtly. Unlike traditional analog emulations, its focus lies in replicating the Round Robin effect, adding dynamic variation and expressiveness without complex modulation setups.
The synth features a dual-layer wavelet oscillator, each with independent controls for parameters such as attack, detuning, comb filtering, pitch envelope, and phase distortion. This layered approach allows intuitive shaping of sounds without needing additional modulation sources. Users can blend layers based on velocity or MIDI CC, with customizable shapes and inverse modes to create intricate phase relationships and morphing effects. Additional elements include a noise sub-oscillator, advanced amplitude adjustments, and flexible filter configurations offering parallel or serial routing.
Further enhancements include a modulation section with sync options, a shaper with saturation modes, portamento with velocity-sensitive triggering, and a vibrato module. An ensemble feature adds unison or reverb-like effects, complemented by a soft clipper to prevent distortion. The interface is interactive and scalable, displaying MIDI assignments clearly and providing quick presets for envelopes. While optimized for Windows, this synth offers extensive randomization and simple preset management for creative sound design, making it a powerful tool for crafting expressive and evolving sounds.
