Its modulation capabilities are extensive, with four multi-mode LFOs featuring random, waveform, and step sequencer modes, along with four modulation envelopes that support basic and multi-point shapes with user-defined slopes and looped sustain sections. A 16-slot modulation matrix integrates multiple sources, including oscillator and filter outputs, all modulated at audio rate for expressive sound design.

Anna also boasts a versatile effects section with a parametric two-band equalizer, two modulated stereo delays featuring four-band filter control and cross-feedback between delay units, and a crusher effect capable of unique sample rate reduction and bit resolution distortion, producing distinctive textures reminiscent of a broken transistor radio. The effects order can be customized, and the synthesizer efficiently manages CPU usage by automatically disabling unused sections, making it a powerful yet resource-conscious tool for music producers.
