Ample China Guqin (ACGQ) captures the rich and classical tone of a Shennong-shape Guqin through meticulous sampling. Featuring 12 GB of samples, it includes Head, Body, and Auxiliary articulation groups along with a curated selection of improvised licks. Each of the seven strings has been individually sampled to faithfully represent the instrument’s unique sound character, allowing musicians to explore its depth with authentic expression.

The core feature of ACGQ is the 7-string Riffer, designed specifically to emulate the playing techniques of the Guqin. This tool enables users to craft precise fingering positions, articulations, legatos, and expressive nuances, which can be exported directly into a DAW for accurate playback. Multiple playing modes and a dedicated tuning system accommodate the Guqin’s distinctive timbral differences between open and pressed strings. Additionally, ACGQ includes a sophisticated modulation system to trigger realistic string noises, enhancing the natural feel of performances.
