ab Astrometry Delay is a sophisticated multitap delay plugin that creates a three-dimensional sound environment by using up to eight individual taps. Each tap acts as a unique acoustic spot that envelops the listener, transforming the spatial perception of audio signals. Designed to work seamlessly with Mono, Stereo, and Immersive inputs, the plugin analyzes the loudest points within the soundfield and converts them into distinct acoustic spots that can move dynamically around the listener's head, delivering an immersive and spatially rich auditory experience.

This plugin offers flexible routing options for each tap, allowing users to process audio either in series, where each tap follows the previous one, or in parallel, where taps receive the original source signal independently. Each tap includes adjustable parameters such as sound elasticity (Viscosity), loudness, and timing, which can be freely adjusted or synchronized with the DAW's tempo, spanning from rapid 64th triplets to slower 2nd note divisions. Additionally, four modulators can be assigned to a majority of controls, enabling evolving and constantly shifting sound textures that elevate creative possibilities.

Compatible with Windows and macOS platforms, ab Astrometry Delay supports inputs and outputs in Mono, Stereo, and Ambisonics formats, ranging from first to seventh order, depending on the DAW's capabilities. The plugin outputs signals suitable for decoding into various speaker configurations including binaural stereo, surround sound, Dolby Atmos, and custom speaker arrays, making it highly adaptable for modern immersive audio workflows. An iOS version, ab Astrometry X, is also available with up to four taps and stereo mode, functioning as a standalone app or an AUv3 plugin for mobile music production.
