Sergio "El Shaka" Vega, born in Ciudad Obregon, Mexico, rose from humble beginnings to become a prominent figure in regional Mexican music. After immigrating to the U.S., he gained fame with hits like "Como la Lluvia". Despite personal struggles, he made a triumphant return in 2004 with Me Gusta Estar Contigo before his tragic death in 2010 at age 40.
