Makoto Shimizu, known simply as Makoto, embodies the global influence of electronic music. Based in Tokyo, he draws inspiration from diverse genres, including classical, soul, and funk. After being inspired by Ryuichi Sakamoto's soundtrack for The Last Emperor, he committed to a music career. In 2017, he signed with Hospital Records and released the track "Speed Of Life" on their 'We Are 21' compilation.
