John Linnell, born June 12, 1959, in New York City, is best known as one half of the goof-pop duo They Might Be Giants. After forming in Brooklyn in 1981 with John Flansburgh, they gained fame with their self-titled 1986 LP. Linnell has also released solo EPs, including State Songs, and was named one of the world's Ten Most Beautiful People by People magazine in 1998.
