Colin Newman, a key member of Wire, has not released a solo album since 1997, favoring collaborative projects. He has worked extensively with his partner Malka Spigel in bands like Immersion and Githead. Newman also runs the pinkflag label for Wire and co-manages swim with Spigel, while hosting the weekly radio show Swimming In Sound.
