Audion, the side project of Texan producer Matthew Dear, showcases a harder techno sound distinct from his minimal techno roots. Debuting with the Kisses EP in 2004, Audion quickly garnered attention with its punishing compositions and hypnotic visuals. The full-length Suckfish followed in 2005, solidifying Audion's place in the electronic music landscape.
